Esquires is a coffeehouse chain with more than 90 branches across the UK, and this one stands on Christchurch Road in Boscombe. It is distinct from the Esquires in Bournemouth town centre, roughly a mile and a half away on Old Christchurch Road. Boscombe's precinct, seafront and pier are all within a short walk, so it makes a convenient stop either side of a spell on the beach.
What's served
As in the rest of the chain, the coffee here is organic and Fairtrade-certified, centred on the Equatorial Blend of 100% Arabica beans sourced from Peru, Sumatra and Honduras. Part of Esquires' ethical sourcing approach is to deal directly with coffee-farming cooperatives, the Capucas Cooperative in Honduras among them. Vegan and vegetarian choices are available, and oat, soy, almond and coconut milks sit alongside dairy. Since the exact food and drink range differs between branches, it's worth seeing what's in stock in store.
Worth knowing
This is an independently operated branch within a franchise, so its hours and range may not match other Esquires sites; confirm the current opening times before travelling specially. Our food & drink guide lists more cafés, restaurants and bars around the area, and our guide to Boscombe covers what else is close by.
