Flamingo is an all-day café bar just inland from the beach in Boscombe, on Sea Road. It's the Boscombe Spa branch of the small Flamingo Café Bar group, which also runs a second site in Ashley Cross, Poole; both aim for the same "unmistakable holiday feeling" the brand promotes, through bright, seaside-themed décor.
Food throughout the day
Service runs from breakfast and brunch, the Flamingo Big English among them, right through to lunch and dinner. The menu features popular choices such as chicken schnitzel and shish kebabs, backed up by desserts and an afternoon tea selection. A kids menu is available too, along with a two-course "Everyday Escape" set menu from £22 for anyone wanting a simple, good-value meal. Drinks and mood
Cocktails feature heavily, led by the house Flamingo Rum Punch, with a wider evening drinks list backing it up. By day the feel is easygoing and holiday-like, turning into more of a proper bar atmosphere later on, so it suits a seafront coffee, a family lunch or a drink with friends equally well.
